What I like the most was once you closed the door of the room you could relax. A real shame that you didnt have more channels (primarily sky channels) as this would have been the complete relaxation package

The hotel is situated very conveniently right in the heart of the Presq'ile which makes it a good base to explore the city. The Metro stop is very close (but you can't hear it). The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and tolerant of my bad French! The rooms are extremely clean and I found the quality of the bedding to be very high - my bed at least was very comfortable.
My room faced onto the street and so it was a bit noisy with people chatting and walking by but with the balcony doors shut it was OK. This is what you expect with a city centre hotel.I could not tell from the hotel website if towels were provided so I did bring some but they were provided. It would have saved on luggage if I had known before.

The staff were very helpful and one couldn't ask for a better location. The rooms are petite (which is to be expected of any french city apartment), but are very comfortable and clean. The breakfact is good value for money as well. I would gladly return to Hotel Dauphin.
While the front entrance looks a bit shabby, don't get put off because the hotel is very nice!

very basic hotel but good for short stay - the most important was the fact that it is in the centre, close to metro station.

Good location and helpful staff
Bathroom sink was too small with a shelf directly over it making it awkward to use. Also keys should be left at the hotel when you leave for the day, but the reception is not staffed at all times of day. A door code gives access during these times, but anyone with the code could also access my room key.

very good location, very good night sleep, very good bathroom, very good WiFi connection in my room. Good hotel for the price offered. This is not a hotel you want to bring your little kids or old parents. This is for young solo travelers, or young couples just looking for some place to sleep. If that is your case, then book the hotel, it's worth it.
If you stay here, don't pay for the breakfast, it's not worth it. have breakfast elsewhere.

Central location - 200 metres from Bellecour metro, easy walking distance to Vieux Lyon ("old town"), up Rue de la Republique to shops and Hotel De Ville/Opera/Musee des Beaux Arts, or down Rue Victor Hugo to Place Carnot, and adjacent antique shops. Very friendly and attentive staff, most if not all of whom spoke fluent English if needed. Older hotel, but value for money. Reception on first floor, as in many older European hotels. Small lift if required. Free WiFi which worked very well.
Cramped toilet and small shower would be a problem if you are obese.
